The arrival of the German Market well and truly signifies the start of the festive season. We love how the rustic wooden stalls line the streets of Brum, selling a tempting array of food and drink, traditional toys, ornaments and gifts.
All shopped out? No problem. The Birmingham Ice Rink is back at Centenary Square! Spend the day skating across the ice rink adorned with atmospheric lights and music or riding the big wheel where you can take in stunning views of Birmingham. Whether you’re a novice or the next Torvill & Dean, this fun day out will get you in the Christmas spirit.
After a spin on the ice, head to us at The Canal House, and immerse yourself in our festive, cosy Watershed. We’re just a 2-minute walk away, so NO excuses!
Escape the mayhem of Christmas shoppers, market goers or get in the party mood at our very own canal-side winter pergola, featuring twinkling lights, live music and a NEW winter cocktail menu and street food menu. The Watershed is fully decked out with heaters, a huge roof, windows and a toasty fire pit, so you can guarantee ultimate cosiness in all winter weathers!
Choose from our winter warmer drinks, including classics like mulled wine, or ‘Let it Snow’ an electric blue cocktail, garnished with mini snowflakes. Of course, you’re going to need some delicious food to accompany your cocktails and our new street food menu is perfect. Try our birria tacos, stuffed with slow cooked pulled birria beef, cheese, pico de gallo and grilled until crispy, served with a birria dipping sauce or our Bratwurst and Moving Mountain vegan Hot Dogs, topped with American mustard, ketchup, pickles, sauerkraut and crispy potato puffs.
If you’re not visiting The Watershed this Christmas, you’re doing in wrong! We’re open 12PM-midnight and taking bookings for groups of over 4, walk-ins for under 4.
